Lolita 52 Challenge: Week 10

So, not having as fun as I'd hoped I would be in the new place, but way better than being at home.  I haven't had the money to pick up anything else Lolita or even casual, but I'll get something eventually.  I know that I'll come into some kind of luck eventually and start getting either more pay or not have to dip into my savings as much.  I'm thinking about finding alternative ways to make cash, but I'm not sure how that will work out with my cutie pie with me.

So, this weeks topic is... How I first found out about Lolita!  As I've said in an earlier post, I've worn clothing that were almost coordinates in the past for a very long time.  I've always liked the frilly style and I have worn things that would could as casual before even hearing the word Lolita.  Being the person I am and liking anything and everything to do with Japan, I found out about it from Mana of Malice Mizer when I was looking up the band.  I'd been into them for a while in 2003 and came across his clothing line, MMM.  I decided that I liked that very much and it looked somewhat like what I already was wearing part of the time do to my parents making me dress like a boy for school.  My first full Lolita 'frugal' coordinate was something I whipped up from a beautiful skirt and cutsew I found at Hottopic.  That and a bunch of cute accessories and OTK.  I'm very happy that I got into the fashion and even though I moved from Gothic to Casual/Sweet over time, I still love it just the same.
